RE:[CREI-Alliance] Credit Repair

3 04 2008

Oooo, I like that.. It ticks me off that **I** must pay extra to get the monkeys in the back room of Experian from typo-ing lies on my credit report. This is clearly a small item that our politicians are too busy looking into steroids to care about — that and wars and the economy and little unimportant things. Sooo, I really like the lawyer side of things. I’ve seen it before. The instant response that you don’t get but then a lawyer sends a letter and suddenly they actually can find the stuff you faxed and mailed 23 times. Ahh, but you think I’m nutz — a lawyer cheaper than certified mail? Well, until my credit card changed and I didn’t notice, I’d been a member of Prepaid Legal for a decade or so. One thing they do for free is consult and send a letter. Well, now that I’ve found that my membership has lapsed (of course you find these things when you call about a problem…geesh), I’ll rejoin and get those letters moving.
In NJ, prepaid legal has its hands tied by the lawyer-heavy legislature. You pay less for it here because it is, in my opinion, pretty useless, so I use a PA address and get the **real** prepaid legal. Silly, but that’s NJ…
So, thanks for that suggestion! I love it! — Joe B.
